Beloved Art Programs

The First 5 Commission, under fire, is sad local news because Sacramento’s social services technically have no claim to the art dollars allocated for the Crocker Art Museum.

Preschool children (of any race or socio-economic status) need funding to practice art. Art saves young lives. Lives that CPS or social services may fail to save. Our systems are flawed, but we know that art can and often does transcend these systems.
Art teachers are not plentiful. If you see one today, appreciate him/her.
